Tot School

Nathan is 29 months old.

Art Fun:
We found this fun cut and paste activity at www.makinglearningfun.com. I cut out all the pieces and then Nathan colored them, and following the template, glued them all in place. Of course, all of Linny's parts had to be pink, Nathan's favorite color. :)

He did a great job putting Linny together! :)
I can't remember where this idea came from (let me know if it's you!), but I stuck the sticker "trash" down on a paper and gave Nathan some paint. He painted everywhere on the "trash" and on the hearts and when it was dry, I pulled the stickers and paper off.
I think it turned out beautiful!
We went to an art play place this week with some friends and the kids painted, made bracelets, stamped, built towers, colored, and so much more! I didn't take my camera there, but here are a few of the creations we came home with.

Letter Fun:

Thanks to LeapFrog word factory, Nathan has learned about word families. Here he is working on making a family! :) He's learning to sound out the words and loves to do this!
Pattern Power!! (Thank you UmiZoomi)

Games and Puzzles:

These two long ones (abc and 123) are great because they are a challenge yet self correcting!
Gross Motor Fun:

Counting Fun:
I set up this activity ahead of time by placing different amounts of foam stickers on a page and giving Nathan the corresponding numbers. He had to count the items and find the correct number, remove the sticker backing and place the number in the square. So much fun!
Fine Motor Fun:

his precision with these stickers amazes me!
Writing Practice:

Land or Water:
I can't remember who's idea this was (let me know and I'll link you up) but Nathan loved putting the animals on blue if they live in the water and green if they live on land. Then I gave him the stickers which corresponded with the animals and he stuck them on the right squares.
Group Tot School:
Bethany hosted a great day of fun and learning... letter BINGO...
covering light switch plates with paper and modge-podge
stamps

AND... silly string! One can for each kiddo! I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the parents squirting and chasing the kids!!!

My favorite photo of the week... a rare quiet moment...this little guy loves books!
Thanks for checking out our week! To check out other tot schools, follow this link to Carissa's Tot School page! Have a great week!!!!
