A video for daddy... that I think you'll enjoy too!

Every now and then, Nathan and I make a video for daddy just to brighten his day. Today was one of those days. Nathan picked out a few things to show daddy and a book to read daddy. He had this book memorized this past summer and hasn't read it in a few months but tonight, this was his choice to read to daddy (and he remembered most of the words!). :) Such a sweet time for us to share with the man we both love so much!!!

where in the world???

well, we've been traveling again and I can't wait for the energy to post the pictures!!! We're back now and we're happy to be home! While we were gone, Nathan solidified potty training! He's wearing underwear (except nap and night) and doing an awesome job! No accidents at all on our trip (even when I put him in undies for our 8 hours of flying/layovers - what was I thinking). We'll touch base soon!!!!! Baby Wilson has been taking all of my energy and I've been pooped lately, but I'll get to this blog one day this week! I promise! :) Stay tuned!

:)

test taken 2/26/10

The Lord is amazing and I'm so glad that HE has great plans for our lives (Jer 29:11). Most of you know we miscarried 12/26/09 (and prior to Nathan in 2003). Well unbeknownst to us, the Lord had plans for another pregnancy this spring and we're between 5 and 6 weeks in (5 weeks 5 days according to my ultrasound today). We didn't "try" or "plan" to conceive this quickly, but the Lord had great plans for us in His perfect timing. And here we are!

Nathan went with us today (mainly out of necessity) and was able to see his baby brother or sister. He declared it a lovely circle, and then informed us that it was Baby Piper in mommy's belly. We have some time for this to set in and all the details to come together in his sweet mind.

We wanted to share this fabulous news with you! We saw a quick flicker of a heart beat, a teeny tiny baby (measured in picture 3) and will go back again next Friday for more pictures! :)

Yeah God!!!!!

Tot School

This week tot school was held with Yaya and Papa and since I wasn't home to photograph it, I can only tell you what they did... blocks, cars, puzzles, automoblox, marble racing, playing outside, basketball, drawing, and tons more. The one picture I do have is this...

potty school!!!!

Nathan spent a lot of the week doing this! Thank you mom for keeping the potty training going! Nathan spent all of today dry! He didn't even wet his diaper during his nap! He also pooped on the potty this morning. I was super proud of him! I think we're getting the hang of this!

Puerto Rico!!!

Autumn, you were right! We spent last week at the El Conquistador Resort in beautiful Puerto Rico!!! We had a delightful week resting in our beautiful ocean front room, listening to the breeze and the rain, and also enjoyed some awesome massages, fabulous food, and great company (work sponsored trip for people attaining 100% of their quotas). I took all of about 10 pictures... but I'll share these final 3...

the view from our room (I did my best to piece together a panoramic picture)
all dressed up for the awards dinner

Thank you so much Chad for working so hard last year and for taking me as your special guest! :) I just knew you would!! HeeHee! Thank you Lord for such a wonderful relaxing getaway for us to share just the two of us! :)

Where in the world?

Can any of you guess where we are or when these were taken? :)

Potty talk

I'll spare you the view from directly over the potty, but this little guy is doing sooooo well on the potty! Most every day we are home or at a friend's house, he is in underwear and most of the time he keeps them dry. We still ask him every 15-30 minutes and take him every 30-45, but everytime we take him, he goes! He has no trouble pooping on the potty either which blows my mind due to all the horror stories I've heard (that's what's pictured above. HeeHee!). He's only asked to go a few times but I think we're on the right track and he's learning to listen to his body! We have trouble when he's seated at the table, and that's where most accidents happen. He loves his big boy underwear and takes great delight in picking which pair to wear for the day. :) Nathan we are so proud of you!!!

These tiny fingers

This is another one of those memories I don't want to forget when Nathan is 5 or 12 or 50. He's always loved to cross his fingers. At 6 weeks he crossed his index over his thumb and would often just cross it and leave it that way.
As he got older, I noticed him crossing his ring finger over his pinky and he still does this several times daily; especially when he's eating or riding in the car or falling asleep. This is one of those qwerks about Nathan that I LOVE and I want to remember forever. I finally had my camera in hand one day when he did it, and although his fingers are caked in hummus, I love these pics of my little guy crossing his fingers.

Just another one of those things I love about you Nathan!

Marble Racing

My mom saved this toy of mine for a long time and she discovered it last time we went to visit. I just brought it out this week as a special daddy Nathan toy and he loves it! He calls it marble racing and he is so excited about Chad coming home from work so they can do marble racing. They build tall towers and drop the marbles in and do it again and again and again! :) It's fun to see a 25 year old toy with so much life left in it!

Swim lessons!!!

We've just started swim lessons again and Nathan loves them! We have private lessons with a fabulous teacher named Mrs. Lois. She is such a sweet lady and wonderful with Nathan! They are working on so many fun things and I love watching from the sidelines!

Working on jumping in, swim, pop up to breathe, swim and turn around, head to wall and pull up and climb out. Such a life saving skill!!!

Learning to throw the diving rings out, dive for them, and swim back to the step with them.
Lots of fun... floats, ball chasing, games, breath control... fun fun fun!
Nemo belongs here at this pool... did you know that?
I love that his tongue is out in this picture! He loves Mrs. Lois!!!
Working on super man arms (straight out and parallel in the water as he goes under and glides with his arms out).
We love it love it love it!!!!!
