Playdate!!!

On Monday of this week, Nathan had a great playdate with his buddies Zachary and Izzy.  Zachary got a new slide for Christmas and it was the highlight of the playdate!!!

Nathan also liked Zachary's kitchen!

I have 10 teeth now!!!!!

In case you couldn't see them all, mommy numbered them for you, in no particular order!  I'm also working on number 11... my left bottom molar!

Evan's 1st birthday party!

On the 27th, we went to Evan's house to celebrate his first birthday!  My camera died half way through the party, but here are some fun pics of Nathan and his birthday boy buddy!

RockBand

Well, it's about time our little man learned to play rock band on the wii, don't you think?  Chad spent a little while with Nathan showing him how to use the drum sticks and where to hit them!  He really enjoyed playing the drums, and I think there might be potential... don't you?

Christmas morning

Decked out in our Christmas pjs

Santa's elves were up late Christmas Eve and out little man was up early, so Chad gave him milk and put him back to bed (we won't have that opportunity again for a LONG time on Christmas morning), and we headed back to bed as well.  At 845, Chad, Nathan and I headed downstairs to find my parents up and drinking coffee!  We celebrated Jesus's birth with lots of energy and excitement, enjoying the time together as a family.  What a wonderful day!
Little man attacks Christmas with so much excitement!

Christmas wouldn't have been complete without Nathan's car noise!Turn up the volume and listen to this deep growl!

Our morning was excellent, our lunch meal was delicious, and in the afternoon, we celebrated Christmas with all of our cul-de-sac neighbors.  We ate scrumptious food and ended the evening by singing tons of Christmas songs while Chad played guitar and 13 kids played drums, tambourines, or wooden sticks!  So much fun!  Afterwards, we headed home to put the baby to bed and play Mariokart (a Christmas present from the Tuckers).  While we were playing, a loud crash got all of our attention and we spent the next 4 hours cleaning up a toppled Christmas tree.  Needless to say, our tree came down and went out to the curb Christmas night.  Nathan awoke the next morning looking for the "bubble tree."  Oh well, life happens like that sometimes!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was lots of fun for us!  My parents were in town for the holidays and Nathan was enjoying all the attention from Sha Sha (YaYa) and Papa.  He loved this musical snow globe my mom brought to show him!

We looked at my baby book and discovered that while Nathan does make some of the same facial expressions I made as a baby, he looks nothing like me, which isn't really a huge surprise since he's the spitting image of his daddy!

After a fun day, we got dressed and listened to Chad play guitar for a bit before heading to the Christmas Eve service at church.

We clean up pretty nice huh?

What a CUTIE!!!!

Mom and Chad found seats and Dad and I dropped Nathan off at the nursery. This was the first time he'd cried when I dropped him off at church and it was almost funny as he sobbed and screamed for "doggie".  Remember, while he can say mama, he is intent that Bailey and I are both "doggie".  Too funny.  Thankfully he calmed down within a minute or so.  I'll never forget that though! :)

After the service, we enjoyed a lovely dinner (sausage and red pepper Stromboli) which Nathan devoured and wore well.

Then it was time for our family's new tradition... Chrismtas Eve PJ's!!!

No pjs for Bailey, but a new toy was perfectly sufficient for her!

While everyone was excited about their pj's, Chad and dad were most excited about giving me mine... the package looked innocent enough.

As soon as I saw the fabric, I recognized it from Target...

Yep, footie pjs just for me.  They happen to be covered in dinosaurs and they glow in the dark.  Let me just tell you all how sexy I looked in these boys size 10/12 dinosaur footie pjs.  But the deal is, you wear your pjs christmas eve to bed and spend all of Christmas day in them.  Boy did Chad and dad throw me under the bus!  I was a good sport though and wore them until our neighborhood Christmas party the next evening.

The funny story behind the pjs is that i had a pair in college and Chad HATED them.  He called them a chastity belt, but hey, those pjs worked!  He made me throw them away as soon as we got married. Now almost 7 years later, he buys me a pair!  Too funny!

Nathan was all too precious opening his pjs and way too cute in his striped Santa hat!  Once the outfit was complete on him, we realized how absolutely adorable his pjs were!

And, just to ice the cuteness cake, Nathan has now learned what a lizard "says"... he sticks his tongue out like this...

hysterical!
