A quick update on Nathan! He's doing fabulous and is growing more and more into a pint sized person. He's extremely curious, loves to explore, and is very hands on. He is content to shop with you wherever as long as you give him a big hug every 10 minutes or so and make sure to point out all the great things to look at. He continues to be a social little guy and will lunge into the arms of most people whether he knows them or not. He's spending more time on his feet, standing unassisted to play, and he's taking steps on a regular basis. When you put him down, he likes to be set down on his feet, not hands and knees, and he will usually take a step or two before crawling. He's quick to start off toward his toys on his feet going as far as he can before losing his balance and falling. He loves to walk down the sidewalk holding onto our finger with one hand and can go quite a ways before saying "up" and wanting to be carried.

55 weeks... okay we'll call him 12.5 months
Every morning, he asks for "dadee" and we go looking for Chad. He loves to watch Chad get ready for work in the morning, and is quick to want to brush his teeth at the same time with a big boy tooth brush. This is a cute time of him learning on facet of being a man by watching his daddy. Nathan takes it all in and its something we all look forward to in the morning.
He's doing really well in gymnastics and has learned very quickly how to follow instructions, take turns, and wait in line. He continues to amaze me with his strength and motor planning. He's quite the climber and has climbed so many things that kids his age typically don't have the ability to climb. He'll be hanging from our chandelier in no time. Yesterday he climbed up on top of his leap frog music table (which happened to be next to the banister)and stood on it and proceeded to try to climb over the railing... all in about 2 seconds. We've moved the table now!
He's taking great naps and has started to ask to go to bed by crawling to his bed and saying up. He's really attached to his blankie and loves to hold it and rub it on his face. He naps from 10-12 and 3-5 usually, however two afternoons this week he slept until at least 6... one night till 630, and still went to bed at 730. The kid loves sleep! He plays in his bed before going to bed and after waking up and usually wakes up giggling. He's starting to sleep until 8 in the morning which I love!
Nathan's language is exploding and it's so fun to watch. He says many things, but the two latest words are "doggie" and "apple". He's signing about 15 words and uses his signs with regularity. He is also able to answer, "What does a ___ say?" for monkey, owl, cow, sheep, and lion. He can identify so many things receptively and I need to count all the pictures he recognizes!
He's eating more and more table food but still loves his carbs and fruit the most. His favorite fruits are berries (blue, black, rasp, and straw), kiwi, and banana. He's not much for meat yet, although he loves chicken nuggets, and on Wednesday he ate half of a hamburger at steak and shake. He also loves pizza. What a Wilson! He prefers to get his protein from fish, beans, brown rice, yogurt, milk, and recently cheese. We're working on veges from the table, and he'll eat some carrots, broccoli, squash, zucchini, and a few others, but we're still supplementing with baby food veges until he gets the hang of it.
He now has 8 teeth and numbers 9 and 10 are on their way in. With 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom, he's looking more and more like a boy and less and less like a walrus!
Here are some pics from this week. He loves to pull out these bins and pull out their contents. He's doing really well balancing to stand without support as well!
