House Update #2

It's been a while since I've given an update on our house situation. Our current house hasn't sold yet, however we do have two couples that are interested in it! We're hoping that one of them will submit an offer in the next few days! We do have to sell this house in order to move into our new one, and we have to sell this one before the new one reaches "drywall" stage.

This weekend, we drove by the lot where our new house will be built and the builders have put flags down to mark where the foundation will be! The pictures don't do it justice, but we were really excited to see how big our back yard will be and how our house will sit in relation to the one right beside/behind it. We were very pleased!

see the flags?

Today, I rode by and saw the stacks of cinder blocks and brick for the foundation! This house will be taking shape in the next couple weeks! Stay tuned for more updates and please pray for our current house to sell quickly!

House update #1

I don't have much to show you as far as the new house goes, but here is a picture of the lot, our little slice of land on a corner lot in a cul-de-sac with lots of woods in the back. Can you imagine us living right there? Well, hopefully we'll see some progress soon and the pictures won't leave so much for your imagination to figure out! :)

In this picture you can see our neighbors! I hope they don't mind that we took a picture of the side of their house! :)

We're moving!

Well, it's that time again! We are under contract to build a house! We are all so excited. Although we love our current house, we're ready for a bit more room and a driveway that is flat. We've found an awesome neighborhood not to far away (about 10 minutes) and the house will be finished in 4-6 months... so along with keeping you posted on how Nathan and the rest of the Wilson's are doing, I'll also be updating the house progress, so stay tuned!

Here's a picture of the floorplan...
The lot that we've selected is 0.38 acres, which is pretty large for a city lot - and bigger than the lot we currently own! Bailey is going to be so excited! It's on a cul-de-sac and we're thrilled that Nathan can play there. The neighborhood also has sidewalks, a pool, a playground, and a huge field where you can do anything your little heart desires! :) Well, that's about all I can tell you now. We will list our current house tomorrow and then pray that it sells fast! I'll post updates and pictures as we get them.
