49 weeks

49 weeks and how wonderful they have been!  We continue to be amazed at this little wonder... and more amazed by the God who created him.

"For You created my inmost being.  You knit me together in my mothers womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."  -Psalm 139:13-14
I have lots of pictures to share, so I'll make the update brief... Nathan is 22 pounds 6 ounces and is 29.5 inches tall.  He has 5 teeth now, and 2 more on the way!  Nathan is standing without holding onto things much more often.  He's also getting brave and has taken a "step" toward the couch, but since he landed in the couch I don't think it's an official first step... we're making progress toward walking though.  He's also getting VERY snuggly these days.  We're getting lots of hugs and kisses all day every day.  TOO SWEET.  Nothing melts my heart like my little guy crawling to me, climbing up me, and wrapping his arms around me.  Well okay, the kisses that Nathan gives Chad everyday before and after work melt my heart a little more... but not much!  Nathan is a huge fan of blueberries this week and has also learned to eat grapes and mangos.  He's incredibly social and really enjoys being around other kids.  In light of that, I try to get together with friends several times a week so Nathan can see his buddies.  Nathan is saying balloon, daddy (da-deeeee), mama, up, ball, more, all done, and consistently makes the same sound for Bailey, although it sounds nothing like Bailey.  He sure does love her though!

Eating some banana cookies...

Playdates with Colton
No wonder Nathan likes Kristin so much... she has great play ideas.

How about a ride in the laundry basket boys?

Why don't we make a tunnel... come on in!

It was a great tunnel until Nathan realized the blanket was fuzzy and then he wanted to nuzzle with it...

Crash!

2nd playdate of the week with Colton... Nathan loves his walker and although he doesn't use it much, when he does he flies in it.  Colton has the same one and hates it.  Kristin thought that if Colton watched Nathan go wild in it, he might like it more.  So, Nathan ran a few laps around their house and then I put Colton on the back of it while Nathan ran around...
Yes those are two sets of legs sticking out of the holes.  He slipped down into the seat with Nathan.  He was not sure about that though.

Then, Kristin switched the boys and put Colton in the walker.  Nathan was happy to push him around their house!  Hysterical to watch!

Last weekend, we also had a playdate with Evan.   Remember Evan?  He's a month younger than Nathan and still bigger than our little guy...
Here they are in April...

Here they are in July...

Here they are in October...wow, how things have changed!  Nathan was showing Evan how fun this air mattress is.  They would both laugh when we would "come and get them" and bounce them into the air!

Nathan has a love for this little tikes car.  Our neighbor's have one and he went nuts over it and played with it for 45 solid minutes.  We had to get one!!! So, last weekend we found one on craigslist.  He loves it!  Just today he figured out how to open the door and step into it.  He spends so much time with this great car!

More pics from Zachary's birthday party

is he sharing or stealing?

Nathan looks worried... maybe he's worried that you'll laugh at the next few pics of his teeth...
Folks we have a walrus on our hands!  He has 5 teeth now!!!!! Two on the top (with the two in the middle ready to pop through any day), and three on the bottom!
You can see the new one on the bottom in this pic.  Isn't he cute!!!
