1 Year Photo Shoot

Nathan had never eaten cake before.  He spotted it before the photo shoot and was asking to "eat" it.  When we put it down in front of him during the shoot, he didn't know what to do with it.  I don't think he knew it was food.  He touched it, and then wanted it off of his hands.  He crawled through it to get away.  We sat him back down to try again, and he just wanted the sticky cake off of his hands.  I'm so glad that I made a cake with no sugar or egg whites in it!  :)  We thought he would devour it, so I was careful about ingredients.  Much to our surprise, he wanted NOTHING to do with it!  The icing in his hair was funny though.  The icing around his mouth was me trying to feed him icing to show him it was good.  Again, no interest.  Hmmm, I wonder how his birthday parties will go?
