15.5 month update

Well, here's one of my favorite new pics of this little one.  I love those blue eyes!  This little guy is changing so much every day!

Nathan is basically down to one nap.  He wasn't necessarily ready for it, but mommy was, as was one of his good buddies and it makes it a bit more convienent to get them on the same schedule. We're trying to get him napping from 1-4.  Most days it works well.

He has had quite a language explosion and is talking non-stop.  Sometimes it sounds like another language as he points to the Fridge, signs eat, jibber jabbers while pointing to the microwave and then signs hot.  What he saying is that I heat his dinner up sometimes in the microwave and when it beeps when get it out and it's hot.  It's so cute to see him connecting all of the dots!  He learns a few new words a day.  Some of the newest are  blueberry (which is boo-baw), orange (ahng), granola (g-lola), bird, boat, book, bailey (bawee), help (hebuh), hi, bye, down, pineapple (puh apple), spoon (poon), amen, and so many more.  He's also picking up tons of new signs.  He's learned wait, where, wash hands, and these two...

"I want"
"pray"
"pray now, right now"
He asks us to pray a good 15-20 times a day.  It's really cute.  When the talking stops, he says amen.  So sweet and I love that he asks to pray because it reminds me to pray more often!

This tot is practically running around and is climbing everything. He's getting much better at going down the stairs too.  He has discovered how to climb onto many things including his bookcase, the couch, and he's learned to climb the outside of the stair rails.  Oops.
He loves to empty the cabinets and climb into those and hang out.
He loves to play with daddy in the evenings and on the weekends.  I often find them in his tents or tunnels, often accompanied by Bailey.

Where's daddy?
He loves to take a bath and is taking one almost every day.  He asks for them often and while in the bath does a great job of blowing bubbles in the water.  He likes to put his face in as well.  I think his favorite part is being wrapped up in a towel or two and snuggled close!
We had an adventure this week while it was warm.  We decided we could wash the car while Nathan was outside and he could help.  We gave him his own bucket of clean water and a few toys.  He had an absolute blast!
This just cracks me up.  He was trying to blow bubbles in the water and his hat came up dripping wet!

Two of the neighbors came to play too.  Precious that these 5th graders would take the time to invest in Nathan. So sweet.  They're good kids and we love having them around.
oops - he dumped a whole bucket of water on himself.  :)
New find... Avent insulated cups with an attached flip top lid!!!  LOVE THEM.  Another new find...Nature's Path Flax Plus Multigrain Pancake mix and to it I added ground almonds and ground flaxseed, one mashed banana and a handful of blueberries!  Top the pancakes off with cheddar cheese scrambled eggs and what an awesome dinner for the little man!
A favorite lunch of this week... boars head nitrate free turkey, green bell pepper, sweet potato, cheese, blueberries, oranges, strawberries, and kiwi.  Ahhh, it just tastes so good!
Nathan is doing amazing and it so sweet and loving.  He's a ball of energy and we love watching him learn and explore.  I love this little one and so does his daddy!  What a joy!

what a cutie! my daughter is almost the same age. it is amazing how much they're changing and growing everyday!

we use mother-ease brand diapers (which are one-size-fits-all) and regular prefolds from greenmountaindiapers.com, and we use the mother-ease covers over both kinds. i'm very satisfied with both, and we've been doing it over a year.

thanks so much for stopping by my site. let me know if you have any other questions:) suzannah at gmail dot com
