Nathan’s first baseball game!

A couple weekends ago, we headed to a baseball game with Matt and Emily! Seeing that it’s August and in the south, I was nervous about being outside given that I’m pregnant and super heat sensitive. Thank you Jesus for that nice breeze that blew allllll night!

Nathan spent the majority of the evening sitting/standing in Chad’s lap and he was pretty focused on the game. He loved all the stuff that went on between innings but was not a fan of the silly string that one of the mascots sprayed! :) We all loved the kettle corn though!

During some of the game, Nathan had a prized seat… daddy’s shoulders! This was especially fun during cheers and songs. Nathan was really eager to see Bird Zirk, at least from a distance. When he came close, and started dancing all silly, Nathan wanted nothing to do with him. When Bird Zirk stood still and offered Nathan a high five, my toddler light up! He wanted to hug him and dance with him and all but offered him a ride home. :)

While Nathan loves baseball, he heard that we were going to a baseball game and there would be fireworks at the end… and baseball game was lost in translation. Sweet kiddo was rearing to go at 10pm when the fireworks began. He sat so still it was hard to tell he was breathing. Every now and then he’d grin ear to ear or make an exclamation about the fireworks. Even baby Taylor enjoyed them… with each snap, crackle, or pop, she jumped! :) Too funny! We had a great night and it was so much fun to be with family. Matt and Emily are always super fun to be with and this was no exception. Thanks for taking us guys! We love you!
