Our first week at home was so crazy! I don't remember much of it, but what I do remember is my AMAZING husband taking EXCELLENT care of myself and Nathan. For those of you who haven't experienced it, recovering from a c-section is no walk in the park. You are rendered helpless - I mean helpless. I had to have help for everything from dressing to peeing, eating, nursing Nathan... everything. Chad managed my care, my meds and their proper dosage and timing, and took care of Nathan! Amazing. Needless to say after a few days we were more than ready for help. We had a few amazing friends who came to help us with finding time to sleep, Bailey, laundry, cleaning, eating, Nathan, and I even had a friend blow dry and straighten my hair! We were so blessed by all of the help from those amzing friends... and the help that our families gave. My mom came and stayed for several days and helped out quite a bit! She took the night shift and fed Nathan every three hours at night. It allowed Chad and I to rest a little bit more. Chad's parents also came and helped us with giving Nathan a bath, snuggling with him, and helping with the laundry. Friends and family are essential to surviving the first few weeks of parenthood! Here are some pics of that time!
