Alright, so for those of us who have been pregnant in the last say 5 years, the warnings you hear over and over and over usually have to do with SIDS. Don't put bumpers in their crib, make sure they sleep on their back, don't put them to sleep with blankets, and the list goes on and on and on. Well, you already know that Nathan has bumpers in his crib - they look pretty and he likes to look at them. So much for that warning. For many many many weeks, he would only nap on his tummy - and did quite often - there goes that warning. Well, lately, Nathan has been sleeping unswaddled - A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT in the Wilson household! Only thing is, he wants to snuggle with not one but TWO blankets (thank you mom for making 11)... he also wants to sleep with them over top of and sometimes wrapped around his head. I'm not kidding - here's the proof...
Yep - even in his carseat!
Really, we try to keep them away from his nose, but often enough as soon as I pull it up a little bit, he wiggles that face into the blanket some more. We both will go into his room and pull the blankets away from his face and 9 times out of 10, he puts them right back where they were. Here's a shot of one of the rare occasions that he left the blankets away from his face...
SO I say if you can't beat 'em, join 'em... it's nap time folks - with a fuzzy blankie over my eyes!
