31-32 weeks old

Lots going on these days!

First experience at the beach - Nathan didn't know what to think about the sand. It took him a minute of exploring it and then he liked it! He kept picking up the sand. He didn't ever put it into his mouth though! Smart boy!

Then we sat him in the sand right where the surf was coming in. Chad was inches away to catch him or scoop him if a wave came... Nathan was very uncertain about the surf. He watched cautiously and when a little water came up to his feet, he just stared at it. Now when the giant wave crashed into him, he really didn't like it, but then again, who would?

Finger foods! Nathan has been eating a few finger foods. He's eaten chunks of avocado (see pic below), crackers, baby puffs, Baby Mum-Mum crackers, and a few other things. He's getting used to the texture. It's cute to see him take so much time to chew these things up!

We gave him a "biter biscuit" yesterday and it was so funny to watch him chew and drool, and chew and drool. Oh my goodness what a mess it made too! Chad snapped these pics during the gnawing session... and that sweet husband of mine cleaned him up afterwards too!

We also tried the fresh food feeder today too! I stuffed it with nectarine and Nathan killed it! He ate almost an entire nectarine. Not as messy as the biscuit, but very juicy! We'll do that again! He loved it!

Nathan is sleeping on him tummy still. He loves it, and as well as he's sleeping... we sure don't mind!

Nathan is on the move, and it will be a matter of days before he's really mobile. He rolls anywhere he wants to go, and just this week, began to get up on all fours and take a "crawl" or two. He's not "crawling" just practicing the motions. He is also scooting much more frequently and can reach most anything on the floor that he wants. He moves better going backwards than forward, but I don't think it'll be a lasting thing. :) The crawling and mobility will be here before we know it!

Smiling morning faces

Silly boy

Nathan's first big truck. We unpacked it today and he loved the wheels! Such a boy!

Teething... oh my goodness... those teeth are going to pop through any day... I hope. During Nathan's waking hours we're hitting him up with teething tablets and tylenol every 4 hours. He's bringing himself relief by chewing on everything in sight- everything... even shins, toes, and fingers... of other people. We prefer him to chew on food and toys though!

Still trying to sit up. One day it will happen... really, it will.
