Caterpillars are back!

If you've been reading this blog for a while, or you know me IRL (in real life), then you know I'm a big fan of these guys...

and you might even remember this post from May 5, 2008...Here are a few pics from that post when Nathan was barely 5 months old.  

Well, much has changed in a year, but my love for these furry little creatures hasn't changed one bit!  My excitement to show Nathan hasn't dwindled at all!  In fact, it's been enhanced by his fascination with them!  He wasn't at all shy of them when he spotted them on our house.  He did however have to learn (and be reminded a hundred times) to be gentle, touch with one finger, and to ask mommy or daddy or sweet Hannah to pick them up for him and put them in his hand.  A few caterpillars have been subject to his less than gentle touch and those have been named "uh oh.  Here is a video of his second encounter with them.

Then he asked me to put it on his leg.  Hee hee!

I thought it would be fun for Colton to also experience these little creatures.  

He was not as excited about them crawling on his hand!

So I put it on his shirt and he was much more satisfied with that approach.

Oops, we forgot to teach Colton about gentle!
