What's on your tot's plate?

This week's post will have quite a few pictures... mainly to humor you.  We've realized, that while our son has a very healthy appetite, he is in desperate need of work on his table manners.  Especially his ability to self feed with cleanliness... oh and not dumping his plate on to his tray at EVERY meal so fast I can't stop him would be great too.  I think we're going to use liquid nails to stick it on there!  I digress.  On to what's on my tot's plate!

blackberries, yogurt with granola added the night before so it would be really soft, Dr. Praegers Spinach Pancake (huge hit by the way), and fresh mango.

See the Spaghetti Head post for results on how the self feeding here turned out!  This is turkey spaghetti made with whole wheat spinach noodles.  Like most whole wheat pasta, it packs an amazing amount of fiber and protein for pasta!

grapes, kashi waffles, peanut butter, and fresh mango

a creative lunch... celery sticks with almond butter and cranberries atop!  Kashi Mediterranean Bruschetta crackers with avocado and cherry tomatoes on top and pretzels.  Warning: VERY MESSY FOR A 17 MONTH OLD but he sure did like it!

Dinner on a sitter night... peas and carrots, meat sticks, grapefruit, blackberries, 2 animal crackers, and fresh mango (can you tell mangoes were on sale this week?).

Now, I must warn you... the following pictures may make you cringe if you have not yet experienced a toddler self feeding... and if the spaghetti pictures weren't enough to make you double over in laughter... check out these...

I can't believe I ate the whole thing!
Let me tell you what this little guy ate for dinner Sunday night that created this delightful mess...

a pint of blueberries
 kiwi
4 cherry tomatoes
1/2 a banana
a few bites of broccoli
1/4 c baked beans
1 piece of string cheese
1 whole hot dog
3 ribs
1/2 avocado
one piece of yummy pumpkin bar from our neighborand
a few bites of mac and cheese.
oh and did I mention 9 ounces of milk in a sippy and 7 strawberries?

I'm not at all kidding.  I'm also not at all kidding that I changed 6 poopy diapers on Monday!  If he keeps this up, we'll be refinancing our house just to feed him!  :)  Thankfully he's so active he burns it all off in no time!  So please share your ideas with us!  What's on YOUR tot's plate?

So cute! This is exactly how my son looks after he feeds himself. And why do they always have to touch their hair and rub their eyes with their messy fingers, lol. We actually had spaghetti with turkey/tomato sauce this week as well. Messy.
