Strange title huh?
Wednesday afternoon of last week, we were driving home from a very long and tiring doctors appointment and we pulled in to our neighborhood and the gleaming bright pink was almost blinding... What were those awful pink things in my yard? Yes, they were flamingos. I had absolutely NO clue why they were there. I wasn't 30 (I still have 14 months of being in my 20s) neither was Chad, yet there were still close to 30 pink flamingos staked out in my yard. Don't believe me?
Turns out, a lady at Chad's work is fighting breast cancer and as a fund raiser, you can pay $20 to have your friends "flocked". The $20 goes toward cancer, and you get a great laugh. Would you believe you can pay $15 for flock insurance to make sure you don't get "flocked"! Hilarious! Thank you Amy for flocking us and helping fight for a cure! We enjoyed the pink birds for 48 hours and then they left as quickly as they came.
Nathan was very very interested in the "pink fuhlah-mingos" and he even found one low enough to ride. It's not every day you get a zoo exhibit in your own front yard.
Our poor neighbors were so confused. They kept asking if it was one of our birthdays, or was I pregnant, or was this a joke. Too funny and a great idea!!!!
So where do puddles come in to this post? Well, it just happened that we were explaining this craziness to a friend in the cul-de-sac when Nathan found a huge pot hole full of rain and rocks... he was properly dressed to play in said puddle and had an absolute blast doing so. Believe it or not, this was his first experience with splashing in puddles!
Yeah for summer rain and boots!

That flamingo thing is hysterical. My cousin got so angry when someone did that for her 40th birthday, that the flocker never ever came forward and told!! (I wouldn't have either!)
my grandma and her friends have been doing this to each other for years its so cute
