Today was a great day! Yaya, Nathan and I headed out of the house to a nearby farm. On the way, since we were out in the country, we were able to stop beside so many farms for Nathan to look at the animals. He saw cows, horses, goats, and a few other things.
It was so much fun to spend the morning strawberry picking with Yaya! Let me tell you, the way to pick strawberries, and photograph the journey, is to go with your mom! Yaya and Nathan picked and I photographed! So much fun! Here are tons of pics to tell the days stories.
Instructions from Yaya

Going in for the pick

The inspection

To place in the basket or not?

When you're a toddler, you definitely don't place it in the basket! You eat it! And you eat every single one you pick! And when you're a mommy of said toddler, you put your germaphobe-ness and pesticide-ness away and let said toddler have tons of fun... and unwashed strawberries.

More inspecting...

More eating.

More picking

More inspecting

More eating... and thus the morning went, just more picking and eating and less inspecting. In fact, within 10 minutes, he was eating the strawberry stems too.

Plenty of room to run and frolic... and do you know that this toddler figured out how to cross the strawberry rows with only one foot in the strawberries? And he was faster than Yaya at this strawberry leaping. :) Fun for mommy to watch!

You didn't honestly think I'd stop with just one picture of adorable tot munching on strawberries did you?

Transferring strawberries with Yaya - yep, some tot school was going on during this trip!

My FAVORITE pic of the adventure

Last stop at the strawberry farm was the big tractor. Nathan really wanted to sit in the seat and drive it, but mommy said no because it wasn't ours and it was way high up and this little rascal is quick! So, he settled with touching the wheels and sitting on them.

After riding the tractor, we cleaned this kiddo up, which required a full wardrobe change, and headed to Walmart! Always a fun trip! We got several new things for tot school and you'll see those pics in the coming days. After lunch and a long nap, we went for a long boat ride with Papa and met daddy for another boat ride.
After dinner, Nathan and Yaya drew with sidewalk chalk for ever and checked on the baby birds. It's been so much fun to be here in a new environment and see what kind of adventures we can have. I'll share our adventures as I can get the pictures uploaded!
Have a great week everyone... and to Nathan's buddies (Zachary, Izzy, Colton, and Madison), we're missing you, but talking about you often! :)
