Nathan is 17 months old

We had a great week! Can you tell by the gorgeous smiles?
Monday mornings, Nathan takes a gymnastics class and he LOVES it. It's a great way for him to learn gross motor skills, as well as turn taking, waiting in line, following instruction, and to have a great time! He's showing off his new t-shirt here!
This week in Tot-School, we took several field trips to places like the Lazy 5 Ranch, to MOPS, to the dentist, and to our neighbor's house for a tye-dying adventure! Plus, this week we had plenty of playdates! With all of the excitement, we didn't have too much structured tot-school time, but we did have some. Nathan has learned to say "tot school" and he loves to run up to the playroom and sit on his bottom and say "tot school yes". :) So cute!
Here's Nathan working on the shape puzzle.
Drawing. This kiddo loves to draw! Bailey joined us for tot school too!
Learning to replace the caps on the marker before getting another color. Also, we emphasized open and close.
We also learned top and bottom using the marker tip and the end of it. Here's Nathan pushing it down on the "bottom".
Books are another one of his favorite activities and he loves this open the flap book.
Puzzles! Yeah!
More puzzles later in the week and more Bailey during Tot-School.
Thanks to the pollen aggravating the snot out of me (hee hee)... Nathan has learned what "blow your nose" means and that we do it with a tissue. Well the other day, I sneezed and said, "Mommy needs to blow her nose" and he quickly brought me this... a diaper insert! Oh well, to him it looked like a tissue!
Pushing this big ball takes a big of coordination, steering, and quite a bit of balance! I love watching Nathan maneuver it through the playroom!
Playing outside looking for airplanes and signing "airplane"
On Friday morning, Colton came over for Tot-School. He and Nathan started by working on transferring beans from a cup to a bucket.
Moving on to fill and spill with pompoms and a pedialyte bottle.
More fun with bean dumping!
The aquadoodle was a lot of fun for them and they both loved dipping as much or more than the actual painting that was going on!
To complete our morning, we worked on fine motor skills using stickers.
Then it was off to the great outdoors for more sensory play!
Dipping and patio painting

Then, it was time to cool off and play in the rice bucket.
It's funny to see how different kiddos respond to different sensory stimuli. Nathan loves the rice (or beans) to be poured down his back. Colt thought it was horrible and hated it!
He much prefered to walk on it and watch Nathan play in it.
Enough rice, they were headed up to get cleaned up in the bath and have some lunch.
Here it looks like Nathan is giving Colton some kind of lesson on a white board (which happens to be the tub).
Tired hungry little froggie!

He is absolutely adorable! Seems like such wonderful and age-appropriate stimulation for him! Even and especially the outings you mention! I can almost see his brain growing as the week went on.
I'm so glad I came across your blog, I've gotten tons of ideas from it, thanks for sharing! Where did you get the shape puzzle? It looks like fun. Thanks!
Liv I actually got the shape puzzle at a consignment sale. I'm not sure what brand it is though.
